They certainly didn't until this point. Besides, it's a procedure that has healthy benefits aswell, as the christian west also seems to be circumcising their youth, although lacking the cultural and religious overtones that are prevalent in our country.
Don't play the nazi victim card it's getting old and invalid.

And he western Christians that do it due to health benefits do it because of misinformation and tradition(mostly Americans continuing what the military forced on them) of the past.

Religious rights of the Parents < Religious and Bodily rights of the Child
No card played. Besides, I believe that you've been misinformed about the health benefits.
Besides, I don't believe that a harmless procedure such as circumcision shoud be filed as an assault on the bodily rights of a child, whatsoever.
But it's your call, of course. Such bans are ineffective, and will not hinder anyone from seeking a hospital which provides this procedure elsewhere.

Given that atheist parents circumcise their children in Turkey, I'd say that you're incorrect.

Geez, now they want to restrict how we sculpt our dicks? Come one people, it's like tatoos and piercings. Our bodies, our way. Maybe I'll put a bolt thru mine just to make a statement.

If they want a circumcision once they are old enough to decide for themselves, that's one thing. Doing it to a child who has no say in the matter is another.

I don't know, I think it would hurt worse now. They say you hardly feel a thing when you're that young. Must be true, I don't remember getting clipped at all.

Bad enough we can't keep the man outta your uterus. Now he wants to step on a parent's right to sculpt their boy's penis. It's culture. Low brow, of course, but still culture.

The babies do feel it. They do. Besides that, what do you do if they child never wanted their penis to be circumcised? You can't grow foreskin back.

Uh, what? Did you really just say that parents have a right to sculpt another person's body? Immediately after advocating a woman's right to her body, no less.

No. Just no. Parents have no right to cut parts off of their children, culture be damned. That's just sick.

Well, if it is for medical reasons, I won't condemn the parents that make that decision, but for everything else, can people let the person choose? Sure if I were circunsised at age 2 I wouldn't remember, but if I was raped under GHB I wouldn't remember that either. It needs a reason why one is subject to a surgery unwanting or unable to make a decision. Bottom line is that people take kids as their property, and that is utterly false.

The only person misinformed about health is you, Mehmet. It's been proven time and again that circumcision has no benefit to health; the studies regarding HIV were improperly done and have been invalidated.

Nobody has a right to mutilate a child's body. Circumcision is a cultural issue that needs to be excised from modern society.

It stands to reason that male children may be born with a prepuce that's too small to let the penis pass, let alone when there's wood, for that, due to the risk of infection its tottaly legitimate for a parent to make that decision. However, for any other reason it stands as unnecessary as cutting a dogs ears for the purpose of breed.

I don't think anyone here is against it if the situation legitimately calls for it.
