I'm asking you how you know when a belief system is atheist. I didn't say it had anything to do with 2+2; that was according to a different definition that you aren't using.
Your answers aren't very informative. Let's say that someone sat down in front of you, and would truthfully respond to any question you asked him. What questions would you ask to find out if he was an atheist, and what responses would let you know?

I don't think atheism is a belief system. To my thinking, atheism covers an entire class of belief systems--specifically, those belief systems which do not implement theism. Since atheism is the lack of belief in theism, this definition makes sense.

Okay, what is a belief system then? How do you know that the set I gave is not a belief system?
To my understanding, beliefs are essentially collections of propositions (things that are either true, or false). So we say things like, "I believe in God" to mean "I believe that the sentence "God exists" is true." Or, "I believe that he is guilty" to mean "I believe that the sentence 'He is guilty' is true". And so on.
But it seems that you have a different idea of what a belief system is. Can you go into more detail about it?
