Evangelicals Disrupt Arab Festival with Pig’s Head on Pole

A bunch of Christians decided to picket at an Arab community festival in Dearborn, Michigan. They got the idea it would be a good idea to put a pig's head on a stick and bring it to the community festival.

Dick move.

...but hopefully you're not seriously suggesting that Islamic sensibilities are entitled to deference. Especially if that deference is only selectively required.

At least the head of the pig accurately represents the founder of Islam...

I was pointing out the sheer stupidity of the people who planned that stunt and the sheer bad taste of it.

Ah, what a way to stay classy! How do you think the Muslims will retaliate? Putting Jesus on a stick? No wait, the Jews got there first, didn't they.. Big Grin
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

Oh, so people are supposed to respect others' religious beliefs? And maybe not call them 'x-tian fucktards'? Sure are a lot of conflicting standards of deference around here.

To be fair, these dudes are Christians, are they not? Did they not do this because they wanted to ridicule a faith they don't belong to? And they most definitely displayed a severe case of fucktard-ness, so why not call them what they are?

Do I have to be more clearer in stating I posted the article for people to laugh at it, since to me it is quite hilarious. I will apologise for having a dark sense of humour which will laugh at things like religious fanatics setting themselves on fire.

Also I have never personally referred to Christians as f********. However I will defend those who will use that term. Because I see it as totally fair not to have much respect for the religious beliefs people hold, especially given how idiotic a lot of them really are. To me the beliefs which Scientology hold are no more ridiculous than those Christians hold, so I will treat Christians and Scientologist beliefs in the same way.

Unlike some Christians who really fear and despise Atheists, I just pity those 'Bible Believing' Christians.
