Do I have to be more clearer in stating I posted the article for people to laugh at it, since to me it is quite hilarious. I will apologise for having a dark sense of humour which will laugh at things like religious fanatics setting themselves on fire.

Also I have never personally referred to Christians as f********. However I will defend those who will use that I see it as totally fair not to have much respect for the religious beliefs people hold, especially given how idiotic a lot of them really are.

Unlike some Christians who really fear and despise Atheists, I just pity those 'Bible Believing' Christians.

Don't get me wrong, I take a South-Parkian view on stuff like this. I think everything should be fair game.

What I really don't like are people who want to make special exceptions--from American Christians, it's usually something like, "We're a Christian nation! Think of the children!" blah blah blah. With American non-Christians, it's usually something like, "No, they're a special culture that has a recent/ancient history of being victims! Think of their feelings!"

I just think it's bullshit. And it's obviously bullshit, because the only people they ever call out on it are the people they don't like--hence the failure of the Feelings Police to condemn the atheists here who say things like "x-tian fucktard" and "you know full well what sort of ingorant fucktards you all really are." Because they don't care about that. They're just looking to score points against Christianity, so they rail against Christianity; the most convenient weapon for this news story was the 'you can't offend peoples' religious beliefs!!!!!!!' line.

To me, one of the funny things about this is that about two thirds of Dearborn's Arab population is Christian (mostly Lebanese Marionites). Maybe the visible-from-the-street spaghetti-strapped singer at the nearby Arab festival talent competition should have given someone a clue that the festival wasn't attended solely by fundamentalist jihadis.

Dearborn does need to come up with a policy to better handle this sort of thing, it won't be the last time.
