Where's the Justice?

Where's the Justice?
I was at youth group last night. There wasn't much preaching but instead a whole lot of worship and people getting prayed for at the front if they needed it. After half an hour of me pondering the usual questions about this faith, I sat down and just looked around me. Here we were, praying for healings, people crying, people pacing and declaring the word of God and others shaking violently as they worshipped. God seemed to be alive.

10 million children die before the age of 5 in Africa. God created, didn't provide and punished them for eternity for not believing in him.

An all loving God yeah?

You should know better than that, I believed you knew scriptures better than that, I'm actually disappointed. If you are going down this road about God then why do you not tell those you pretend to worship with the truth. You do not because the truth is not in you, unbelievers do not and can not live as Christians of the light of truth do. Keep on waiting and these people you consider friends (why I do not know, you think they are stupid for what they believe don't you) will turn away from you in a heart beat, they we see you as a betrayer of their love for you. Mark my words it will happen. I say this to you for your friends sake, not yours.
All those children who starve to death in Africa will be in heaven, God has made provision for them. Again shame on you.
God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

It's nice to know that god has made provisions, but I think it would have been simpler to just give them provisions. Thankfully we exist to shore up your gods apathy.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Godschild, we do not need to be putting shame on anybody, or be disappointed. God does not call us to judge. This is a serious question, and one way of answering it is by demonstrating God's love. Unbelievers choose to focus on negative aspects in life. We ought to present the other side in a caring way.

FallentoReason, there is so much good. Consider human relationships. A parent-child relationship is one of the most impactful and fulfilling experiences you will ever have. Husband-wife. Brother-sister. Neighbor-neighbor. Picture the best example you have ever seen of those. Then imagine if people were that loving to perfect strangers. Would there be starvation? No. Nor thievery, war or any other kind of destruction. God calls us to love our neighbor, even our enemy. And he gives us a choice to do so--or not to. If we did not have a choice, it could not be called love. With love and light enters the possibility of hate and darkness. If you do not choose life, you choose death. The world is made of polar opposites. As humans, we understand this. It is why we root for good to triumph and evil to be vanquished. It is why we pretend to be the most honorable, wise person around, only to stab people in the back for our own personal gain. There is good and bad in the world. The good came from somewhere. The bad is the void left in place of good. If one did good, there would be no room for evil. If you wish to use evil as an argument against God, explain goodness and morality. Explain why our world is divided by opposites. Random processes do not create dichotomies, nor are dichotomies beneficial to life. Division is why we have war. We are all different, unique individuals with the ability to choose. If we did not have the ability to choose--or were all similar--our survival would benefit greatly. Instead, each of us is determined by God to have a specific purpose. I invite you to read Romans 12. We are all one body, it says, with different functions. It adds, "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." The ultimate example of love, of course, is Jesus' death on the cross for our dark hearts. Every day we think thoughts hurtful to ourselves and others, but God forgives us through his son's sacrifice. When we ask for forgiveness, we are washed clean as though we had never sinned. People hailed insults upon Jesus, flogged him and executed him. He had never sinned, but he experienced its affects. We don't need to go through what he did. All we have to do is believe in Jesus' extreme goodness to us.

If a believer would post their point of view and not scripture, it would be refreshing. Just when they seem to make a point, they discredit themselves by quoting a fictional book. Are they telling all this to us or themselves? Another thing, I do believe in faith healing. Not in God? healing the sick. If a patient develops a winning atitude to beat a disease, then they probably will. If they give up, then they will not beat it. If a person believes that God has healed them and it helps them, let them believe. Don`t get me wrong, I AM AN ATHEIST. But I do not push my atheism on anyone. Too bad some so called "CHRISTIANS" don`t extend the same courtesy. Now I`m going off subject. Have a nice day everyone

god is a fictional character and can't be blamed for any of the things ascribed to it.

That justifies why God allowed them to suffer whilst claiming he's all loving?

I think all of us are discussing this on hypothetical basis.

RE: Where's the Justice?
This is actually the one question that catches every believer. When my girl said she would leave me for becoming an atheist I hit her with this very same question and she was struck dumb. It is for this reason that I believe I may be able to eventually make her see sense. She asked her mom and the best she could come up with was, "Don't worry about what God's plan is, instead go out and help those people yourself." So I said I was going to go to Africa to work in the communities and my girl flipped out and said I shouldn't. Go figure.

Two questions. Why do you believe God is all loving, and Why do you believe that those children are being punished for anything?
