Obama said he would like to see single payer health care but that it might not be politically possible. He supports the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Romney claims he will repeal it.
Neither candidate supports the legalization of marijuana.
Obama said he considers water-boarding a form of torture. Romney said he does not.
Both candidates support the NDAA.
Romney is supposedly a Mormon. Obama is supposedly a Christian.
Obama is a member of the Democratic Party. Romney is a member of the Republican Party.
Romney's top contributors are investment firms. Obama's are a bit more diverse, with universities and investment firms at the top.
Both candidates claim that teaching "intelligent design" or creationism in schools is not science.
Neither candidate has claimed to be opposed to the PATRIOT Act.
Obama recently claimed to support gay marriage. Romney does not.
Critics of Obama on the left and libertarian right often say Obama is pro-war and awful on civil liberties. His defenders often point to the Constitution and Republican-dominated congress and say that impeded his ability to make the changes he wanted.
Critics of Romney say he is the ultimate "flip-flopper" for supporting a bunch of policies and changing to the opposite position later, making him an extremely unpredictable demagogue. Fans of Romney insist that he can turn the economy around and that is most important.
This is getting too long, but look up their gun rights positions, wars, supposed budget plans, etc. THANK YOU. Your answer has been the only helpful one so far.

Go fuck yourself.
You don't post on a forum asking for a discussion and then make a value judgment over the entire swathe claiming it is nil or "unhelpful".
For all you know, the answer you oh-so-applauded could've been composed out of pieces of the preceding discussions. Ergo, all you're doing is applauding the final construction while calling the other components (that may have built the final construct) useless.
Asshole.

Was going to post until I read your last comment OP, that is bad form in a discussion forum anyway, much less a thread that you began. Shameful.

Between Obama and Romney, Obama is clearly the conservative candidate across the board who uses liberal hot button issues to position himself apart from the opposition.
Romney is just someone who likes money and keeps his faith more or less. Not much else to him.

There's alot more to Romney than just that. He's a creationist who wants to abolish the minimum wage. That is not just someone who "likes" money and faith .

What a cunt. The (federal US) minimum wage is $7.75 an hour. ($310 for a 40 hour week)
In Australia the adult minimum wage is:
$617.40 (40 hour week)
$16.25 (permanent full time)
$19.99 (casual)
There is a sliding scale according to age.

In Australia, March 2012, the poverty line for a single person was $470.36 a week

I'll be quite happy to do a comparative cost of living between the US and Australia.

I could not find anything in his voting record to contradict that either. Do you have any evidence to the contrary?

No evidence exactly, just a firm conviction that the world will be less safe and the 99% here at home much worse off if Romney is elected. It isn't even close.

The 1% have been pampered more than ever under Obama. Can't really see them getting even more of a break under any other President.
