No, more helicopters are not needed, 100% less troops are needed!
I vote "Yes" for more helicopters in Afgahnistan and Iraq. As long as they are of the attack variety and come pre-loaded with plenty of bullets. There really isn't many problems that cannot be solved using the buisness end of a .50 cal. on full automatic.
Seriously.
If force isn't working then obviously you aren't using enough. Use of force isn't a question, it's an answer.
Some things are worth dying for ( not that many actually ). This " war " isn't one of them.

Only a few? France would be a GREAT place to drop a couple of nukes,it's far too good for the French. (ask any Englishman) The nukes they have today would kill off all the people and leave the pretty bits.
If not,what about saron gas?
THE FRENCH: " A logical people, which is one reason the English dislike them so intensely. The other is that they own France,a country we have always judged to be much too good for them" (Robert Morley)
Besides, they eat snails and cheese which smells like an unwashed scrotum--AND they think Jerry Lewis is a comedic genius.
At first I thought Bozo had a terrific sense of humour due to what I mistook for a cutely self deprecating name. I was mistaken. However, out of respect for the poor chap's sensibilities, I will refrain from telling my Holocaust and dead baby jokes.
I do have a sense of humour, just not the same brand as yours, sicko.

Maybe to you. It is to others. My post made no mention of dying for anything.

Dying is what's done in wars.

Yes bozo, that's what happens.
Trick is not to die for your cause but to make the other son-of-a-bitch die for his.
For the general Iraqi populous, freedom in it's largest, most encompassing definition, is worth killing for. I happen to agree with them. I was happy to help them remove some zealots from the gene-pool.

Let me analyse what you are saying.
You talk about causes. All fighting is done by people who had no say in the decision to fight. They then are put in a position of kill or be killed . Occasionally, this is justified e.g to defeat fascism. But having said that, lots of Germans were pressed into fighting for fascism, against their better judgement.
Very few causes are worth fighting for, that's my proposition.
Iraq and Afghanistan are certainly not.
Iraq could have been sorted without the massive loss of life, devastation and waste of billions of dollars, but your president decided otherwise, aided by our prime minister. They are war criminals in my book.
Afghanistan is your latest Vietnam, and ours, tragically.

All those who do the fighting had a decision on whether to fight or not when they signed on the dotted line. America's army is a volenteer army.
It is your opinion the people of Iraq and Afghan are not worth fighting for. It is of my opinion they are.

Do you agree that the army is chosen as a career by a majority who have very little other career options?
Re. hindsight, were the weapons inspectors allowed to conclude their inspections or not, before the invasion started?

Irrelevant. They signed on the dotted line.
And 'sides, where else do you get to shoot a really big gun at moving targets?
Re: hindsight, dunno, don't care. I personally wasn't interested in the WMDs. I was more interested in scrubbing some seriously threatening theists out of humanity. The rest of you are relatively harmless.
"Them's" some serious theists and pose a serious threat to the very lives of innocent folks who just happen to believe something else.
Targets worthy of them expensive bullets Uncle Sam gave us.
