what if Jesus was married to a woman. What then? What changes?

for you nothing, but I'm pretty sure the catholics are gonna have to do some seriously awkward explaining to all their current pedophiles priests.

Obviously, god guided the council to pick the right books. The holy spirit moved their hearts so that every member voted for the books that were actually divinely inspired and decided to weed out the ones that that were not. How else would you account for the unanimous agreement on which books to include? Unanimous, that is, except for the few heathens who were being influenced by Satan.

Still waiting for PROOF of that god -
Plus PROOF of the stories of Genesis and the Old Testament - seems reality had proven otherwise.
And - of course - the council votes were NOT unanimous - but were all cast by leaders of the church -

As far as a "satan" - if you cannot prove a god exists - the rest of the story is just more fairy tales

4th century? I'm sceptical of the fact this fucker even existed let alone had a wife.

I agree that the "jesus" of the NT did not exist as a single person although there might have been a real person whose life was exaggerated into the christ.

However - as a onetime very christian person(I no longer believe at all) - I always believed that the story of the Wedding at Canaan in the BIBLE was the story of the wedding of the christ.

IT is tradition in jewish weddings that the groom supplies the drinks.
IF YOU were at a wedding as an invited guest - why would they go to YOU to tell you that they were running out of wine - but they might go to the mother of the groom - or the groom himself - since they were responsible for it. So - either the wedding at Canaan was the christs wedding - or that of one of his brothers.

AS is often noted - a Jewish Rabbi had to be married (Although later could be a widower) so - if the christ is claimed to have been a rabbi - he also would have needed to be married. However - the word "Rabbi" itself - was NOT IN USE until the second century CE - and it is NOT the jewish word for teacher - Moreh is. BEfore that time - the leader of the Sanhedrin was called the Rabban - but there exists a complete list of the heads of the Sanhedrin and the christ was never on it.

OF the many problems with the bible is that there are claims that the christ taught in the temple at Jerusalem. If the christ was NOT married - that would not have been allowed - period - remembering that as far as the jews were concerned - he was a heretic to their religion and COULD NOT BE the messiah because he supposedly lived at the wrong time. NOW the Temple of Jerusalem was the main temple - like the VATICAN of christianity. Imagine the pope allowing a Muslim cleric to teach against the catholic religion in the Vatican. THERE are simply too many things that are not consistent with the actual Jewish traditions for the stories of the christ to be real.

Well, you know, many modern Christians refer to Jesus as their Shepherd, and he loves his flock.

From that, I deduce Jesus really loves farm animals. A lot. I said it and it's a metaphor, IT HAS TO BE TRUE! Nothing in the bible is ever literal, except for the parts about murder. Confused Fall
