Atheist's guide to the 2012 election

Good viewing if you're willing to watch.

Also skip to 17:37 if you don't want to watch the whole thing, I found his rant quite comical.

RE: Atheist's guide to the 2012 election
I do enjoy Penn Jillette, and I'm with him on this one. I believed all that shit in the bible when I was younger, but for the life me I don't know how. Out of fear I guess. I never really justified it with reality, because as soon as you try to justify that shit with how the world actually works, it starts falling away, but you're already in a position where if you doubt, you've lost your place in heaven and you're going to hell, so you don't justify it, you don't even think about it. You just have to accept it and not question it, because as soon as you question it you're doubting. John 3:15 was always in the back of my head. "That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life". If I was doubting I wasn't believing in Him, and I was risking my place in heaven. So no, I don't think people really believe that bullshit, they just... don't think about... it's too risky...

Ditto. I've been watching a lot of their show Bullshit. His political views seem to be pretty Libertarian and I'm cool with that, but only if we first eliminate the power of wealth over government. So far, I don't see it happening any time soon.

As for us, I kinda feel like we have to vote for the lesser of two evils. Obama ain't perfect (not by a long shot) but when you look at the direction the Republican party has been taking lately, the idea of them being in power scares the living shit out of me. Hell, people like Todd Akin and Rush Limbaugh have been helping the Democrats more than the Democrats have been helping themselves.
