Atheists took over France after chopping the King's head off, and then it didn't take long before they were chopping each other's heads off in a crazy party atmosphere called the "Reign of Terror."
It was especially dangerous to be a Catholic priest in these days, because both atheist factions agreed that Catholic priests were "anti-Revolutionaries" who might return France to the bad old days when people went to Church and got fair trials when they were accused of crimes.

Oh, do you really want to get into a pissing match between what immoral things atheists and theists were doing hundreds of years ago? Considering you are a Catholic, I would think history would be a topic you would like to avoid since the Catholic church tortured and killed non-believers.

as a german who grew up next to the nazi camp mauthause and who knows his countries history i can tell you.
the catholic church did nothing to prevent the holocaust! in the beginning supportet nati germany up to 1942. and then lied about it`s envolvment!
can you explain to me why fashism came to be in traditionaly catholic nations!

i started reading your posts because i thought, maybe your right, maybe you are being insulted without a reason, and i am the kind of person who checkes things before making a judgement.
i came to the conclusion that you start everything by insulting, and if not insulting liying.

No sources? Oh, so there weren't actually thousands of Catholic priests and nuns murdered. Bare assertion with absolutley nothing to corroborate it.
