personality types and atheism

RE: personality types and atheism
Js seem to be more prone to religiosity than p's. Eg INTJS vs INTP. May be to do with stubbornness. No stats on this, just an observation from other forums where this is discussed.

I am increasingly becoming not fond of personality tests. Evolution is a range not an absolute and each individual will project some qalities and not others or both, ultimately we still are individuals.

Even extravert vs introvert can also depend on situational conditions. Lots of actors are extroverts on set but off screen they can be intoverted. I am an extravert at work or out with friends but once home leave me alone. I don't hold parties or invite people over much.

Behavior science like psychology is increasingly becoming neurological and chemical. It also has to combine upbringing, climate of environment, medical conditions, DNA makeup.

Simply asking questions only helps you define that indiviual, to get a better assesment of that individuals condition the mulitple factors above also have to be taken into account. Just like a doctor cannot diognose you simply on what you say. They look at your eyes, your ears, take your blood pressure and even blood samples.

more often than not people who dislike these tests whether they be personality, career, or IQ. Are usually just upset at their results. Their is obviously flaws in these kinds of tests, there's obviously alot of diferent ones, but unless your suggesting an alternative test to the brand we just took, then your probably just mad that it told you something negative about yourself, or something you disagree with.

Same reason why scam IQ tests all give out really high scores to anyone who takes them............ nobody would pay money for the website if it told them they had an IQ of 86, so instead of taking a free one that tells the truth, you pay $200 to read a complex analysis of your 176 IQ

Before I even got the results, I knew the test had horrible questions and an equally horrible 2 answers set for those questions.

Then, of course, the results were inaccurate.

Anyway, I'm not even sure what you're trying to say. You admit that these tests can and are flawed - but because we cannot create a better personality 'type' deducer, we're angry that it gave an inaccurate representation of our personality? Well, I'm definitely not angry and I also don't see what my capability of creating this kind of test has to do with anything. I am displeased with inaccurate results, though, yes.

Sounds like "Personality tests" are becoming the new astrology typing?

They only give you a rough idea, nothing really solid to work with. Marvellous that we humans must shove everything into a "category basket"

Test says I'm intj http://typelogic.com/intj.html I can see some similarities between myself and their description, particularly the introvertedness.

I dislike it because it's unmitigated bullshit.
