I must admit, the thread title was very attention grabbing.
They're sooooo condescending that I want to vomit. Why do so many adults think 'young people' are stupid? Being looked down upon for age alone is one of the few things that truly bothers me. That isn't to say I am okay with many of the terrible things that happen in the world; I just don't let them get to me.

I think they are finally realizing that they are little more than an old fucks' home. With a little luck...and continued arrogance of its leadership...we could see the church self-destruct within a generation.

Sadly, as long as there remains large swatches of the population that are ignorant through lack of education in undeveloped countries, the Catholic church won't have a problem finding new marks to con.

I recently had a discussion with another creationist recently. Something I have noticed is that creationists and atheists both think the same thoughts: "Man the other side is stupid, they don't know anything."

The difference is is that we have empirical evidence and logic and rational reasoning. They have nothing but their own intense, willful delusions.

Faith is utter ignorance. It is not just ignorance, it is willful, eager ignorance masquerading as knowledge. Truly faith is the most sinister aspect of humanity masquerading as the most noble...which is exactly why it is the most sinister.

Isn't it the worst sort of human sickness that faith is considered any sort of virtue? The sort of blind faith that creationists subscribe to is completely toxic.
