I really did believe God didn't exist yeah. I made a conscious choice in that moment and ceased to believe in God. One minute, God. the next minute, no God. You don't believe this is possible?

I believe we make decisions and our beliefs change. But we don't really have a "choice" in it, because belief is not a matter of policy (for one I don't believe any of our actions are...not only are we driven by our beliefs and they're not a matter of policy...but as you know, I don't believe in free will).

Who?

Are you talking about that shit little cringeworthy children's cartoon now? Sometimes I like Bill Cosby...but he can at least be annoying when it's bullshit like that based on him, lol.

Yes. In bullshit psychobabble language (which I'm with you on this one, as you know) I made the choice/s I was pre-programmed to make.

So I'm just saying - it's not a matter of policy. So what do you mean by 'choice'?

The site loads a li'l fella in the sidebar (movie clip) who introduces himself as little Bill.

"So I'm just saying - it's not a matter of policy. So what do you mean by 'choice'?"

Choice = non-free will, as we've discussed. Policy? WTF is that??

RE: Hello Truth Seekers
You can't just 'decide' consciously what you believe whenever you feel like it. Beliefs are deeper than that. And so is losing a belief. That's what I'm saying.

Beliefs compel you, you don't just pick whatever you wish to believe in when you feel like it. Unless you're talking of 'belief in belief', where you don't actually believe but you believe the belief is 'a good thing', etc - that sort of thing.

RE: Hello Truth Seekers
How do you know it's deeper than that? Obviously in my experience it isn't. There maybe complex reasoning there may not. No use calling it more than it is. Like anything, it's a rational process. A conclusion is just that.
