Do you have a citation for this, Rayaan. To the best of my knowledge it doesn't occur in the Tao Te Ching. (I've read the Tao Te Ching more times than I can count and it doesn't ring any bells. Searching a favorite translation on the words past, present, and future doesn't yield anything relevant either.) Are you sure this is a quote of Lao Tzu?

I am not sure, but I saw that in a different forum and I also googled the quote and then I found many sites which show that it was a quote of Lao Tzu.
