Atheism leaves too much room for error.

That's like arguing "Newton didn't know about Quantum mechanics, so neither do you". Times change, knowledge grows. Our understanding of science advances. We do know what causes the constellations to move: GRAVITY!

Quote:Doesn't matter, the point is, the most brilliant scientist in the world didn't know, and neither do you. Can you tell me what mysterious force moves our constellation? Is it God or not?
No, it's gravity.

Quote:If this vision would have appeard 1,500 years ago, you wouldn't believe it unless they had evidence. Well, here's your evidence. A vision of CHRIST appears to the Lebanese, and you can clearly see his mouth is moving. What are the odds of the wind blowing through the trees causing "just" his mouth to move? Incredible.
Firstly, it isn't "just" his mouth. The shadows of the branches that form the figure's mouth also make up part of his head. His entire head is moving (as well as hair).

Secondly, as the two events show no viable connection, the odds of them occurring are separate and equal to the odds of the wind just moving the shadow's arm.

GRAVITY!!!

Quote:It proves Jesus Christ (the same figure in my avatar) appeared in front of people in 2007. What are the odds of the sunlight casting a shadow through the trees to create the perfect image of Christ?
How it is a perfect image of Christ? You could take any young man with long hair and argue it looks like him. I personally see a nice image of Charles Manson.

Quote:The odds are just too astronomical to measure. The Jewish Messiah appearing to the people of Lebanon before the Israeli and Lebanon war is related. What are the odds of the sunlight casting a shadow through the trees to create this image of Jesus Christ we have painted since the 5th century? Incredible.
No they aren't! It's just that you cannot measure the odds because you have no solid base to start from. The position of the branches and the formation of what looks to us like a man are separate events and you cannot form any "odds" of them occurring.

I thought it (the video) was George Harrison, circa 1979.

It was paraphrased and paraphrased to the point of NOT maintaining the sense of the original, because Einstein did not say "we have no clue" he said "[we] but only dimly understand those laws. Our limited minds cannot grasp the mysterious force that moves the constellations." which is, as I said, a significantly different quote from the version you posted!
The bottom line is, Einstein didn't know, and neither do you.

The bottom line is that you misquoted Einstein and you did so OUT OF CONTEXT because it is fairly clear that he is expressing wonder not giving up! Besides, genius though he was, the world has moved on since Einstein.

Me? Gravity as Adrian says and your assertion that "GAWD DUN IT" is a unsupported and pointless waste of time!

It was answered, but it's the answer that atheists don't want to see. They don't want to believe God is eternal.

And if you had a shred of validatable evidence to support that statement you might be taken seriously ... but the fact is YOU DON'T!

As Adrian says it's a shadow ... so fucking what?

That's just a shadow. The human mind is wired to find patterns that aren't there. Our minds are wired to picture a face on anything that might come close to a resemblance of a face.

This is not evidence. You see a face whilst I see shadows. I can see what you are looking at. It's still just shadows on a wall.

I think this is a perfect example of delusion. What next? Pink carrots appearing in clouds?ROFLOL
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence - Carl Sagan

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

Some will...some however just think it's not a matter of proof, but a matter of 'faith', and they treat the God issue completely differently to any other, they special plead that he's somehow 'special' so he doesn't even need evidence, nevermind absolute proof.

I personally find the freaks who will do anything to prove God and Jesus...to be much more entertaining though Big Grin

Some stupid things really do take the cut: A theist once said "The sun's not the only source of light, you know. THink about a cloudy day: the lights got to be coming from somewhere!"

^-Comic stupidity

Some people really just can't be reasoned with. And that's what we have loony farms for.

Oh, and odd question: what is 'twitter'?
