Update on the "accidental" shooting of a two-year-old in my town. I say "accidental" in quotation marks, because I don't believe when there are children around guns and they end up wounded or dead that it's an accident. It's the most appalling form of parental neglect.

So, basically, just feeling really, really, really shitty about his kid's death is supposed to be sufficient punishment for being such a negligent twat. I love the comment from one of their neighbors:

“It’s sad that this happens too often. It just needs to be known to keep your guns and weapons safe because it does happen in a blink of an eye just like that,” one neighbor said.
“Just put them up higher where the kids can’t get them. This was an accident. We’re not looking for this guy to go to prison or anything like that. It was really an accident.”

Yeah, just let that be a lesson to ya! Just put it up really high, so your kid has to work harder to get their tiny hands on it.
