I think America's "second amendment" is a relic of bygone days and needs to be repealed. Far too many jerkoffs walking around with guns. And, btw, yes. Not a single tyrant overthrown but plenty of innocents slaughtered by gun-wielding assholes. That cartoon is spot on. Case in point.

In the USA, I have a friend with over 30 weapons, loves gun shows, believes any day that Obama is going to invade his home and rape his woman, and for Y2K he had a basement full of rice, beans, water, and beer. Well, the beer is finally gone.

He is one of those that I worry about. He acts like the 2nd amendment was a promise by the lord, while ignoring it's text. (Women should not have guns based on the text, because women were not permitted to be part of a militia). He also believes that the government needds to be threatened because it is a growing evil, while forgetting that the purpose of a militia is to volunteer to defend the government and the country, not to attack it.

Finally, he had to balls to send me an email after the school shooting about how everyone in Israel is armed and it's safe. Our gun laws are way too restrictive (a maximum of one pistol, and only if your job or location requires it, and you need to pass various tests. No rifles unless you do target shooting and then a maximum of one, and it needs to be inspected every year. Ammo is also controlled).

And no gun shows. Hunting is extremely restrictive (a few bird species and wild boar only with a rifle).

He agreed that he would hate to live here. No hunting? No gun shows? One pistol max? No way!

What would he do with his retooled "semi" automatics?

This is what comes after a public school education in America when "History" is an elective.

Idiots with a gun in no way are representative of the majority of responsible gun owners. They just get the press so that anti-gun nuts will be terrified by the mere mention much less the sight of a three letter word.
