Well, he doesn't have one of those to my knowledge but the one one I do recall in detail was a Ruger .77 magnum that could put a round through a railway tie plate.
I'm not sufficiently knowledgable in weaponry to tell you what the others are.

But assault weapons are banned here as they should be. And i see no practical reason for them to be in private hands.

"Ruger 77" is the model, not the caliber.

And is "assault weapon" defined in the law there?

Semi-automatic rifles holding more than 10 rounds are restricted, not banned.

Again with the strawman arguments. By your logic, I can say that having to obey a speed limit while driving makes you less of a man, that not being able to walk into a convenience store in flip flops degrades your human dignity, and that paying any kind of government tax infringes on your right to your hard-earned money.

Also, if you think men are upset, how do you think the women feel? This isn't about yours or anyone else's manhood. This is about saving lives. You still haven't given us any practical reason to tell us why private ownership of assault weapons could be helpful in deterring crime or gun violence. At least one person here has been honest enough to admit that they are fun. And I agree! They are completely fun! It's also fun to employ a grenade launcher, or to shoot a TACSAM, or to detonate unused ordnance. We should let people own those willy nilly based on the fact that they're fun, right?

I'm all about saving lives. Every one of my weapons were made and purchased with that in mind. The difference between us is that I want to save my life and those around me like my family. You don't care about my life and would relieve me of my weapons if you could.

My AR15s are tools in my toolbox. I believe in using the right tool for the job. An AR would come in handy if there was civil unrest. I hope that doesn't happen but if it does I am prepared and you are not. My castle will be protected. You will find yourself getting ass raped while others are taking your shit.

If we are focusing on a certain type of gun to ban in order to make our country safer shouldn't we examine how often certain types of guns are used in homocides?

This would be handguns. Over 68%.

Handguns are also easy to conceal for criminals that use them for robberies. Why don't we focus on banning those?

That way we can keep assault rifles for home defense but get rid of the most convenient and most frequently used gun type by criminals.
