Rasmussen: Just 8% Now Say They Are Tea Party Members

Rasmussen: Just 8% Now Say They Are Tea Party Members
Quote:Only eight percent (8%) now say they are members of the Tea Party, down from a high of 24% in April 2010 just after passage of the national health care law.

And thus, the insane farce slowly rolls to a stop.

Of course, considering how badly Rasmussen skewed their polls to favor Republican candidates, the real percentage is probably more like 3%.

I saw some stories on that, too. I think the one I read said that 10% of people identify as tea partiers but about 11% of people literally identify as communist. That's right; COMMUNISM is currently more popular than the tea party!

Can't be too surprising, either. The economic conditions that gave rise to communism are about what we're seeing here: extremely rich people exploiting the masses.

Recently, A Theist was asked if he was a Tea Party member and he said, "no". This surprised me but seeing this poll, I now understand why.

I guess it's time for another conservative rebrand.

This video brilliantly explains the whole process and what they'll have to do again:

That won't even slow those fucking Koch brothers down. They'll keep pumping money in to attain their "libertarian" dream of no government regulating these corporate pricks from doing whatever the fuck they want.

We'll just have to see what new brand name they come up with.

There is nothing but fascist fucks left in the GOP. They don't even need to distinguish themselves anymore.

If they keep the same crazy message with a new brand, they're still going to crash and burn. I mean, seriouly, who thinks it's going to end well when your party becomes known as the party of rape?

If they don't change the message, they're either going to become a political footnote or they're going to die out and be replaced by a new political party. Right now, the GOP is fighting over whether they want ideological purity or whether they want enough popularity to actually get their people elected.

I think you're underestimating the power of rebranding a product. It -does- work, and with the way our elections are arranged, you only have to sell it once to see a return on your investment...keep that in mind. To use the most dramatic example, sure, it'd be nice to buy a government cheap, but whatever you end up spending, and however long it takes, you're likely to recoup that and see profits regardless. Think of the Tea Party as a low ball offer (a budget class branding effort) that failed. Also, keep in mind, that any damage incurred by the branding effort on either the party you're up against, or the party you're floating, isn't your problem (but can very easily be to your benefit in either case).

A quick and dirty example, if I wanted to buy or lease land, I could actually contact a 3rd party (or a group of them) to lowball the owner first, then i wait a little bit for them to get into each other about value, before I offer my own bid (cutting out the middlemen while allowing them to haggle the price for me in advance).
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

That's because I never belonged to the Tea Party DP....although, I will say that whatever conclusions people have regarding the Tea Party, is mostly because of lying propaganda and vicious smear tactics from the left....the Occupiers were far worse...
