You have some misunderstanding in your post. Do you really think that when a christian sins they blame it on the devil? I know 200+ christians and not one of them would ever think about doing something that stupid.

Well I happen to know Christians who always think that something good that happens HAS to be because of god and when a person commits a crime it is always because he or she had 'evil' influencing them in one way or another.

I think you are confusing a 'maltheist' (someone angry with God) with an 'atheist' (someone who doesn't believe in god(s)


This is an open forum.You don't get to say who may or may not respond to your posts.

You KNOW no such thing.You believe it to be the case. So far,I've NEVER met an ex atheist who stopped believing due to some perceived human error(s) in say translation or interpretation..

Without exception every atheist I know rejects the bible and all 'revealed truths' as false.This because atheists don't believe in god(s). Imaginary beings are incapable of revealing ANYTHING, what with not existing and all..

To able to believe, I demand empirical evidence.No book will do it. I am unable to accept anything less.This is not a matter of choice for me.I am unable to make myself believe something I do not believe to be true.



PS: Please forgive me if this thought is incorrect: The question also seems to imply that the OP "knows the truth". A common claim of the apologists who inflict themselves on Atheist forums. It's a claim I find as arrogant as it is fatuous.

I answered a "no."

It wasn't the "Hell or Heaven" choice. It wasn't the devotion to the whole concept of God knowing me even before I was born or any of that mysterious delusion. It was using the critical thinking process that led to realistic concepts in everything from science to everyday living.

Other than that, I can't really explain why I saw things differently than most of my family. Maybe I just couldn't follow well without wondering where the heck I was being led and why.

So, no. I could never go back.

I think the question in the vote is poorly constructed.

1) There is no "god" to turn my back to in the first place.

2) Being an Atheist doesn't require learning "teachings". There are no "teachings" because Atheism simply refers to the disbelief in any intergalactic supernatural beings of any kind.
