It was a question as I was sure you knew who I was talking about. If you didn't, you now do and as such, I have adhered to the rules if you want to be a stickler about it.

Being a stickler for the rules is one of the requirements of being a Mod, wouldn't you say? I do accept your apology in the sense you presumably made it.
As for Deist Paladin and YahwehIsTheWay: I did know about this and the reasons for the experiment. I also know how much discussion went into the rights and wrongs of doing it. However, I was not on Staff when the decisions were taken and YITW 'came out' shortly after I was promoted, so allegations or allusions to my abusing my position are unfair and unwarranted. I think you had best continue this point with DP since it's his actions you object to.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

My appology was only if you didn't know about it. You obviously did and I was correct in calling you out on that point...

I actually have no problem with him. After I called him out on it, he posted his confession in his signature. It's there for everyone to see.
I object to the deceitful, trolls that use a sockpuppet to hide the fact that their views of Christianity are illogical.

If you think that people are engaged in sock puppetry, then avail yourself of the reporting system, and we'll investigate.
Making veiled public accusations of rule-breaking isn't the way to do it, and accusing staff of being complicit is really not the way to do it.

You are throwing around accusations and allegations without knowing anything of what goes on behind the scenes. Understandable, of course, but I reiterate that if you have any problems or concerns, they should be reported in the proper manner and not bandied about publicly in the hope that there's no comeback.

I just want to clarify, though it's not my place to do so, that DP's alter-ego was meant as a parody of christian fundamentalism and enormous care was taken to maintain that position at all times.

It has just come to my attention that my view on the position of staff having members on ignore is incorrect. Though not strictly a violation of any rules, at least as written, I was nonetheless unaware of the official position and have now corrected things. My apologies for any confusion or misunderstanding my words may have caused.

FWIW, It's been public knowledge since shortly after the beginning of April of last year. It was only kept secret for the duration of the 2012 April Fool's staff joke.
