Several reasons.
Salvia may not affect you that way. The Salvia you've been smoking may not be potent enough.(Is it supposed to? I didn't think it was strong enough to do that) You might not be predisposed to believing such things (fantasy prone personalities are much more likely). You might get visions, but not interpret them that way due to your upbringing and experiences. Etc.
The brain is a bag of complex chemistry, and plants are equally complex chemically and outcomes in combination, while generally likely, are never 100% certain.

Well still it's very strange because in todays time, you have science and science can tell all your questions, when religion bases it's myth's on stories. So why do still people believe in religion when science has all the answers

Because we like stories. ![Smile Smile](https://atheistforums.org/images/smilies/smile.gif) Even in science, we like stories. Cold hard data might be real, but it's easier to digest as a story.
The thing that religion still has over science that people find more comforting is the idea that we matter. That we're important, in some way. This is a fundamentally human need. To many of the religious, science only tells us that we are a part of a cold, unforgiving universe - tiny sparks that die too soon with seemingly no effect. That's why I'm such a proponent of Neil deGrasse Tyson, who took up Sagan's torch in showing us how beautiful science is, and describing to us how intrinsic, even if ephemeral, we are to...everything. Many of the religious and spiritual say that we are all "one in god" or that we're all connected through a force...The Force...whatever. And Neil goes and says basically that they're wrong, but they're right:

"We are star stuff."
That is the profound message we should be giving people to comfort them. It's real, and it gives you the right to inherit not just the Earth or some made-up kingdom of God, but the universe itself.

People get attached to their world views and the idea that their world view could be wrong often terrifies them. Even something as trivial as demoting Pluto from being a planet caused a lot of uneasiness because an accepted world view was no longer valid.
Pluto Is Out - Some People Take An Emotional Response To The News
Quote:My first reaction was, poor Pluto. It might seem strange to feel a sense of pity for an inanimate object, and one so far away, but I've found my reaction isn't unique. While I haven't heard any reports of people rending their garments, some have reacted to the news as if a friend had been insulted, or they just saw the kid who nobody wants on their team.
Why have average people given the news more than a second thought? Aside from astronomers and scientists, does Pluto's status really matter once we leave school? It may simply be that it's hard to see something change that has been a part of our lives from childhood. Change usually comes with a period of adjustment. We may not be called to name all the planets, unless during a game of trivia, but they are a part of our childhood and our school days. They give us a sense of nostalgia.

Religion was made (as far as i can see),to change humanity to better,to use fear to control the stupid and violent people(to reward good and punish bad) ,to change them,so that we would all be kind to each other,we would respect other people we wouldn't kill others,we wont steal... and so on.
But that's something philosophy can also do without the supernatural or human political authoritative systems of power.

See human political authoritative systems of power. Though humanity would have those anyway without supernatural backing as demonstrated by the Soviet Union and the Nazi's (kind of).

Its like asking where did believing in false things and being supersticious go wrong?
it went from avoiding walking under ladders to hanging random women because you believed they were witches and killing people who didnt believe in the same stuff as you.
Are you ready for the fire? We are firemen. WE ARE FIREMEN! The heat doesn’t bother us. We live in the heat. We train in the heat. It tells us that we’re ready, we’re at home, we’re where we’re supposed to be. Flames don’t intimidate us. What do we do? We control the flame. We control them. We move the flames where we want to. And then we extinguish them.
Impersonation is treason.
