We must because not everyone wants to see each others dangly bits and they think that means they should be allowed to stop others from walking round nude. That combined with a history of laws against nudity and social norms means its not likely to change for a long time. Plus its always freezing fucking cold and in the summer I don't want a horse fly biting my cock. Personally I don't care if people want to wander round with their bits and pieces out and get bitten by insects on their johnsons.

---.
Both explain *why* people wear clothing, but neither explain why we *must.*
I see two differences here, that don't sit well with me. Firstly, the religious aspect. I do not care for people exercising control over others based upon texts written by ignorant men decades ago. Secondly, I have at least the opportunity to dress (as long as I do dress) in whatever clothes I like. Black habits with only slit for the eyes for every woman seems too extreme for me, especially in 40 o C.
Is mandatory clothing a stupid thing? Yes, people should be able to walk around naked if they'd want to (perhaps not sit anywhere they want to due to hygiene reasons) because being squeamish about being naked is a remnant from the middle ages. But would I personally walk around naked if I was allowed? No, I like being clothed.
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

I don't think anyone "must" wear clothes. It is recommended here, because you will probably die without, but if you really wanted to go around butt naked, I wouldn't stop you.
In various places, public nudity is a crime. And no, you will not die without clothing inside buildings or during spring, fall, or summer months. Alternatively, you would do just fine year-round at the equator.
Essentially, you would die without clothing outside, in the middle of winter. But we already put on special clothing for that, so even that doesn't explain why ordinary, light clothing is worn by every civilized society.
In essence, every civilized society is victim to the same clothing fallacy as Islam.
What falls away is always, and is near.
Also, I am not pretending to be female, this profile picture is my wonderful girlfriend. XD

I have watched a video before a weak or so about a british -I think ? - reporter who got raped in Libya. Now that video, I prefer to die before watching it again.
I'm sorry too.. But I think if that woman was still alive she would've killed them herself. I think many raped women agree on that, what I think is uncivilized & brutal, is to allow those monsters to live.
You're right that rape can profoundly destroy someone's life and that things will never be the same. But I still say that killing the man over it won't bring peace, and an eye for an eye mentality leaves a one-eyed person walking among the blind.

Hey AtlaSS. I look at punishments totally different than you. I don't need to see that snuff-movie or get raped to have my own perspective.
Anyway, I was hoping you were going to answer to this question;
By the way, what's the punishment for women that actually are 'whores' or 'bitches'?

Sure. But you're not going to be killed for going nude in most of the world.

It can still be pretty cold here in the summer... I wouldn't go out without clothes on in the summer, because it still would be uncomfortable due to the breeze and such.
Oh, and I don't care about it being a crime... that doesn't bother me. I was simply saying that it doesn't matter to me if you walk around nude everywhere.

This clothing discussion always reminds me of the following;
Why are dogs allowed to take a shit in public, and I am not?

To be fair, if you don't pick up after your dog, you shouldn't be allowed to have one. So, if you pick up after yourself or get someone else to do it, be my guest!

In Islamic culture women are really just meant to stay at home and look after the children. Though the same thing applied to Christian European culture up until just over 100 years ago.
