What is the whole deal with worshiping? Like why is that even wanted or needed by a god? It seems kinda pointless to me. Also why should we worship? Cause he tells you so and he is stronger? Does that give him right to insist he be worshiped?

This question/argument is particularly amusing on this site, considering the kudos, reputation, and annual awards. Quote:Also why should we worship? Cause he tells you so and he is stronger? Teehee! God needs kudos! On your knees slaves! That's really amusing...
No, people need to give it.
If you don't give it, he obviously doesn't need it.
Well I'm just a mere mortal, not creator of heaven and earth, aren't I? For an all knowing entity, god is rather insecure, no?
If god knows everyone's hearts and minds, why the worship? Isn't it better to know than to make people grovel? Your god has some serious power issues.
Quote:"I cannot conceive otherwise than that He, the Infinite Father, expects or requires no worship or praise from us, but that He is even infinitely above it."
Grovel is the opposite of worship, but then you were just fishing for a bite
