RE: Atheists; what do you base your morals on?
What if marrying a poor woman for charety (as the quoran says) is a sick fucking way of charety because it isnt charety at all and doesnt deserve to be called charety yet alone allowed to be legal!

What if the poor person only gave the 500 pounds to charity because they wanted to be seen as being a charitable person?
.
Then God will not accept the charity from them and they will not receive any reward for it. All actions are judged by intentions. If someone only wants to show off, then their actions are futile.

And what if a verse from any one of "the Books" conflicted with your innate moral compass? Would you speak out against it?

You mean "natural urges" Smile For example, a lot of human beings I'm sure feel sexual urges to cheat on their life partner, does that mean it's innate? No, in fact, sometimes they know for a fact what they are doing is wrong, but they do it anyway because they want to satisfy their animalistic desires. But I understand what you mean anyway, yes, I would speak out against things that aren't allowed but which our natural tendencies would prompt us to explore Smile

You reversed my meaning.
I mean specifically something like sacrifice or the taking of human life.

Do you think sacrifice is good or bad? What does your moral compass think of such actions?

Empathy paired with reason.

Why? Where would you get morals from? Millenia old books of dubious origin?

Well, killing animals is certainly innate, we don't need Divine legislation for that. But sacrificing animals at certain times of the year simply because God said so is most certainly NOT natural. One needs Divine scripture to practise that kind of thing and yes, I do believe in that due to my theological doctrine.

What do you mean by the "paired with reason" part? How much does reason influence your morality exactly?

The desire to show up fools who claim their morality come from a nonexistent arch-dictator, such as you.
