LIKE! Oh, this isn't FB.
I hate the look of pitty in people's face as if they felt sorry for me when in fact I feel sorry for them.
I also hate that I am expected to be considerate of their feelings when they have no problem in throwing the Bible in my face all over the place (even work). Pictures of Jesus all over the offices, but if I put an atheist banner up they'd be offended.

Shit Min. That's one of the better parts of atheism. You get to make your own holy days!
Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays Fridays, Saturdays Sundays
One of the worst things?
Having to be nice to theists as they shove their religion at you, down your throat or use it to ostracise you from the community, whilst at the same time saying that they'll "pray for you"
hypocrites

While trying to be considerate of my friends feelings, I make no secret of my Anti-theism. The large "A" tattoo on my forearm gives me away every time.
I just tell them that I respect their right to believe what they want, but that does not mean I respect the belief. Usuially this cause head scratching.
The worst thing about being an Anti-theist is loneliness.
We generally tend to be introverts. Difficult to find opportunities to socialize.

The possibility that I might be mistaken for a liberal if I call myself an atheist. I hate that stereotype.

The prejudice, the hatred, the bigotry, the suspicion, the feeling of being surrounded by psychotic cultists and you're the only one around sane enough to see what lunacy everyone else is subscribing to, and that which you see as horrible and inhuman they see as glorious and righteous.
So, the fear of the majority of those around you. That's the worst thing.

"I think I use the term “radical” rather loosely, just for emphasis. If you describe yourself as “atheist,” some people will say, “Don’t you mean ‘agnostic’?” I have to reply that I really do mean atheist, I really do not believe that there is a god; in fact, I am convinced that there is not a god (a subtle difference). I see not a shred of evidence to suggest that there is one ... etc., etc. It’s easier to say that I am a radical atheist, just to signal that I really mean it, have thought about it a great deal, and that it’s an opinion I hold seriously." - Douglas Adams (and I echo the sentiment)

But an understandable mistake. After all if your thinking was liberal enough to break out of the traditional mindset of the true believer, mightn't it seem likely that you would question other norms as well? (That is what liberals do - when they're not mindlessly parroting some meme.)
