Greetings.
I have to admit, at first glance I thought your avatar looked like poo.
Hello and welcome to AF! ^_^
Don't worry, you're not the first Buddhist around here, and the other ones are still alive When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

Hi, My name's Jack and I'm also an atheist
Howdy!
I've heard a lot of interesting things about Buddhism from the Reasonable Doubts podcast - one of the hosts was actually a practicing Buddhist for a while.
I don't have a problem with anyone who understands the difference between reality and fantasy and the rational vs irrational. I think you'll find you're welcome here. We have a few deist members who are much beloved, and even a couple theists who are the same. We generally like people as long as they're not cockfaces. So welcome!
Hi from the UK!
Your OP indicates that you're not a fan of dogma, yet I'm under the impression that Buddhism has quite a bit. Maybe I'm one of the misinformed! Care to elaborate?
