CRAZY!!

RE: CRAZY!!
  • There is no such thing as a half-rape, you nitwit. You clearly don't understand that attempting to imagine a different paradigm than ours implies certain rules that could not apply to us due to our inherent differences.
  • The term "half-rape" was used to illustrate an example of such a particular instance that we, in our experience of life, are not prepared to handle, due to the different way that we view normality. But, your tiny scope of perspective can't seem to grasp such things beyond your puny view.
  • If you spent half as much time trying to understand these concepts instead of trying to find reasons to be offended by them, you might widen your horizons, but the below comment tells me that such a thing may be beyond your intellectual capacity...

I'm sorry I tried having a conversation with you. Besides the fact that I mentioned I found your original post to be bigoted and intolerant, I made no effort to insult you.

In return you offer straw man arguments, personal insults, and then create a thread intended to call me out. Even though you are wrong about assuming what my point of view is (ie the straw man arguments you made).
  • Oh, I wouldn't dream of such a thing. Start a new thread. Title it. School for Christianity, I would love to be your pupil. Matter of fact, I'lll help you out...

    School for Christianity Thread

I graciously await your grand perspective. Teach me why you're not a raving idiot, and why Christianity isn't just a cult of raving idiots.

I think this is evidence that you think belittling me will somehow win an argument that I wasn't having with you. Sorry Mr Sailor, but I'm not as stupid as you think I am, and I'm not interested in talking to you when you take me as an idiot.

RE: CRAZY!!
Hello all,

I watched many of the episodes in the series (I hope they decide to film some more) and found the twins to be an incredible inspiration. They were dealt a terrible hand in life but as the show indicates they don't let it stop them from enjoying life as much as possible.

During the show they discussed many of the challenges they alone face and that they share a body from the waist down but they are two unique individuals. For instance in order to get thieir driving license (yes they do drive) they both had to take the drivers test. Presumably even if one of them failed the other would not be able to drive. In order to do anything they want to do they have to agree and coordinate since one twin controls one leg and one arm and the other the other leg and arm. To learn to walk as well as drive took a lot of patience and coordination. They came to some agreement as to who controls the blinker and who presses the accelerator and brake. As for airplane rides or even movie tickets since they take one seat they get charged only once. In school they wanted to take seperate courses but eventually agreed on main degree.

In spite of their enormous challenge its the only life they have known and they are conjoined for life. What struck me about the show is how 'normal' the two woman are. In fact it might be a reason why they may not renew the show. Other than the fact its one body with two heads they're just normal young woman. The show would probably get renewed if they started dating (at the time the show was on they had no romantic interests). It would seem to me the only practical way would be for them to agree would be to date one person or remain single the rest of their lives. It would seem inconcievable that they would date or get involved with two partners.

This is your idea of a conversation starter NOT intended to offend or start an argument? Beginning our converstaion with presumed accusitory statements is usually not a god start...FYI, at least with me.

See? Offering your opnion of based on your presupposed notion of my intentions is usually a pretty good way to get a rebuttal from me. If you didn't intend on having an argument, you sure did use a good method to start one.

I will give you the benefit of the doubt, and apologize for any offensive words I directed at you with hopes that you can recognize how this misunderstanding could have started and I will assume that you probably didn't intend to stir anything up with me, you just didn't know how I would take it. Fair?

Ok, to reiterate. I found your post to be intolerant and misogynist.

See here's the problem I have. I'm a person who has male and female friends that I care about, I'm a person who knows people that have been: sexually abused, raped, beaten, neglected, or otherwise hurt.

I have to tolerate a lot of bullshit from other people in life, and one of those things that I have to tolerate is the attitude that some men have towards women. I'm not going to mention names, but there are some people who have been close friends and/or associates of mine who have lead lifestyles that not only do I disagree with, but which are deeply offensive to any person with a conscious. Some of these people (the people who I am/was closer friends with) I have taken up the issues with in person, to which they normally agree what they did/are doing/were doing is wrong, and yet do nothing to change their lifestyles.
  • If one consents to sex, is it a half rape to have sex with the one that doesn't?

Those are your words, you coined the term "half rape". If you don't understand how that is obviously offensive, disrespectful and misogynist then I can't help you I'm afraid.

Look, most of your post is tongue-in-cheek. But there's nothing "tongue-in-cheek" about saying "half rape".

If one consents to sex, is it rape to have sex with the one that doesn't?

Obviously it's rape.
