I already live in a kingdom and I see no problem with it. Of course the anti-royalists here will disagree with me.

the way things are looking over here (usa) with the economy, the wars and republicans, it could be any time now we turn to imperialism, probably not though
the united states has already been an imperialistic power, although they stopped a while ago, it still goes on in a different fashion.
the war with spain in 1898 the united states started even though they knew the destruction of the USS Maine was due to boiler dysfunction, but they used it as an excuse to pone spain and take all their territories (puerto rico, cuba, phillipines etc.) as part of the imperialistic land grabbing all the major world powers were engaging in at the time, up until WWII the united states was not an empire, but was acting like it. even after, vietnam was all about not letting the vietnameese have control back from france, and there were countless secret cia ops in south america to assasinate people or make sure the right people were in power (alot of them dictators) they didnt want commies in power.
also in iran in 1979 the usa secretly assasinated the democratic leader in order to return to power the overthrown dictatorship in order to keep a steady supply of their precious petrol.
if the usa is not an empire now then what is?
Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

pwn is the abreviation of pone
this definition would have applied to america:
• supreme political power over several countries when exercised by a single authority : he encouraged the Greeks in their dream of empire in Asia Minor.
nowadays however we use brand names and companies to get people under control of the united states influence, that and they have kicked the asses of everyone in every corner of the world militarily; the united statesians have companys like mcdonalds and coca-cola. the people in the currently communist china dont, but they know about them because the government of china cannot in its own best interest of economic growth hide theese things from their people, so in the interest of keeping their people happy [and them in power] they allow/promote nike shoes and big macs, and their people are happier-seeming, i.e. those things cannot be taken away by a government that hopes to keep its power, and the united statesian companies have a great deal of influence over the people.
this is called neocolonialism
