RE: Does Saerules Post too Much?
Coincidentally, I'm currently persuing a diploma in IT after which I plan to persue a BSc in Computer Science. Smile My plan is to do MCSE as well. I want to specialize in security.

Cool. You won't be out of business in the IT industry in security as long as Microsoft exist.

The MS security course I took blows chunks. At the one hand all things that looked like valid arguments were shot down as too unlikely, but their example of moving the building further away from the train tracks is perfectly feasible according to them.

The worst part of all of the MS exams is the procedural/ethics questions... IT'S SUBJECTIVE!

As long as you don't excessively fluff post, there is no too much.

What exactly is a "fluff" post? Smile

That's a joke right? Just in case, IT is Information Technology though in schools it's often called ICT (Information & Communication Technologies).

Well maybe it works for you and other gamers but it seems to me that the purpose of being in a place like this is to communicate and if you're talking a language that few others understand then you're failing ... maybe you don't care or just prefer otherwise but that's the way I see it Smile ... I said much the same to Jon Paul when he was wittering on using language familiar to a "Thomist" (I think he called it that) and only people well versed in that could really understand, basically pointless. I mean sometime yes, you have to adopt certain complex language standards but to my mind Thomist philosophy isn't one of them because some of the stuff I managed, with difficulty to decode and it was just a flashed up way of saying something that could be said in normal language.

Anyway ... whatever floats your boat (but those symbols are completely lost on me) Smile

Fluff Post Wrote:A fluff post is a post that doesn’t add any value to the thread. Stuff like ‘nice post’, ‘that’s cool’, ‘that’s helpful’,'thanks for sharing'. Now I’m sure we’ve all made our fair share of fluff posts (myself included) and that’s okay. A fluff post here and there is not a problem, but if the majority of your posts are fluff, you’ll certainly catch our attention. You’ll be warned first, then receive an infraction, then banned if the behavior continues...

Essentially, it's posting something without any value to a thread. I hate it because it often derails threads and usually people who do it just want a higher post count. I absolutely hate it when people post for the sake of posting.
