why not unite africa into one country???? what is truly stopping africa from becoming one singular governing body??? as you said they have simialair politics................... they have the world's most resources....................... is there anything other then european and american governments................ preventing Africa from becoming the only world superpower................. after all they did spawn all of humankind................ if anyone should be a "superpower" shouldn't it be Africa?

And THIS is why a military ruled by the civilian government with volunteer-only service is ESSENTIAL. The Africans just don't seem to get that. Doesn't help that have to contend with absurd numbers of islamic militants, though.

Umm... You are aware of the African Union, right? Think UN for Africa. There's also ECOWAS, SADDC, EAC, EGAD, MRU...
ETA: Africa is the second largest continent, following Asia. DRC alone has about 250 different ethnic groups. That's a lot of very different peoples to get to come together...
