Okay... *WHY* isn't it cool? What are (get this) THE UNDERLYING REASONS that baby-fucking isn't cool?
Quote:they do? you can't accuse someone of rape without a medical examination...statutory rape is different which can just be a confession or evidence of a sexual act
You can accuse anyone of anything, regardless of whether you have evidence or not. The purpose of the court is to then ask 'what evidence do you have?', and if no evidence is provided: the case should be dismissed.
But: what should happen, and what does happen... they are not always one and the same.

And sometimes the evidence indicates something happened which did not happen, which is to say: everyone who's ever been Shawshanked... which can happen in rape allegations.
"Statutory rape" isn't rape if it isn't rape, no matter what finagling you do to make it sound like it is rape. Honestly: it should be done away with entirely.
Quote:no they shouldn't without changing the laws first
Yes they should, but the law(s) should also be changed, yes.
Quote:yes this argument from authority....in this case it means i win.... this is not an lgbt issue anymore than nambla or preist fucking
Or really, it means that we can dismiss your argument as illogical, and instead talk about bananas
(an infinitely more interesting subject matter than an argument from authority). You're saying this thread is now about bananas? Excellent.
How the hell would it matter if it is an LGBT issue? What the fuck are you on about?

Or... maybe you could do away with age-laws completely as being nonsense?

None of us are arguing that; you are creating a strawman.
You seem to think that laws should be absolute, that there are never any exceptions to the law. I disagree. I think that a young couple should not have to be punished if one of the couple suddenly becomes an adult.
Y'know... even if we WERE arguing that, wouldn't you like to at least see WHY he's against it?

Two year olds seem to believe the age of consent is 2, given how expressive they are about that which they will not consent to.
Funny that they're then forced to do that which they will not consent to

How about changing age-limits to a measure of that-which-age-is-assumed-to-provide limits instead?
The day someone here takes the plunge and hashes out exactly which characteristics are involved in determining that which enables one person to consent when another person is not enabled to consent... that'll be a great day
Maybe I should do it myself... but then I might as well just talk to myself.
