Such as?
Well I know the 10 commandments. And I think we can all agree that the main big ones, "thou shall not kill" and what not can be good. Now of course you could blow it up and be like "Well if you kill in self defense that's ok" Which, I don't disagree with. BUT I must make myself very clear. While I agree with a few of the commandments and maybe 1 or 2 life rules of Christianity, it's completely hypocritical. God tells people to kill, rape and keep slaves and all that shit, so he is no god of mine, and even if he was real? Worship him my ass.

Hardly original to "jesus."

Well I know that. I am not denying that. Merely saying I think it's simply a good idea to follow. I must say though. As I said before, there are so many horrible things "god" did in the bible I just was like "This can't be allowed in church can it?"

The point is that many civilizations thought it was a good idea not to kill other members of that civilization long before any possible "jesus" came along.

Yup. Agree on that. 100%
Edit: well that kind of contradicts what I said. I just mean that like I merely say it from the commandments because I have frankly no clue what I would say if it came from another society. Like sumerians didn't have like a 10 commandments or something did they? o.o

What "they" tell you about the Bible is usually untrue. You reject the lie, good for you.
What they don't tell you is that the Bible is fallible...

Don't answer! Its a.trick question! All of the Bible is bull hockey to this guy
H'm I think the best part of the Bible was its declarations on how to deal with rude, malicious, and obstinate people. It has served me well.
Edit: talking about Min
Good gravydog my phone is lagging
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.
Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.
Quote:Some people deserve hell.
I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.
