Is a dead baby enough of a wake up call?

RE: Is a dead baby enough of a wake up call?
Yes. Thank you. Of course, orthodox medicine is the Devil, and Jesus Christ died so that Christians wouldn't need doctors or therapy: they just use holy water to cure tumors. That is the central dogma of Christianity, and, on behalf of all theists, thank you for pointing that out.

I'm still surprised countries haven't made this shit illegal. The amount of people dead from this shit is unacceptable. When it's an adult it isn't so bad because it's their own stupid fault for being eejits, but when it's a kid who dies because of it, it should definitely be treated as a criminal offence.

During the 1990s a married couple who happend to be Jehovers whitnesses, refused to accept a blood transfusion for their child during an operation here.
The child died and a national debate sprung up.

Parlament enacted new laws and today it is illegal for parents to deny their children medical treatment which could save their lives as long as they are under 18. If the parents do it anyway, the charges against the parents are eighter "grevious bodily harm", "neglegence toward children", "abuse of parental power", "manslaughter" or a combination of various of these charges.

Well... he might have had the opportunity to argue that angle at trial... had he not gone to great lengths to cover it up. Don't think the jury would have bought it. At it turned out, he pled guilty and got two concurrent life sentences, out in 27(?) for good behavior.

Did he throw himself on the mercy of the court on the grounds he was an orphan?

This is the definition of Chutzpah.

Sick, sick people. Don't the same verses tell them they could drink deadly poison and be OK? Why don't people like this just have done with it then.
