If someone attempted to knock me down I'd complain and make my complaint known with my fists.

But seeing as idiots like you are few and far between, I operate on an assumption that other people don't wish me harm unless otherwise stated.

Why are you acting like you are out of a star trek episode and have only just encountered human empathy? You're not one of the borg, or a robot, or Patrick Bateman.

If he's a sociopath, he may literally be unable to understand it.

so people in modern society don't believe that morals are tenuous, or that they're subjective?

people don't believe that we choose our own moral codes? as for little girl, she was about 21, hardly a child.

Evidence?

I'd presume no surveys have been conducted. However, I'd imagine a high percentage of persons born in the late 20th/early 21st century endorse transient and non-objective morals.

If that were true, one would think it would be easier to find people that agree that's the case. Since it seems to be close to universally otherwise where ever you go, perhaps you should consider the possibility that you're imagining incorrectly based on personal experiences that turn out not to be as widespread as you thought.

most people in our generation believe in transient morals, unlike those 100 or ago.

You keep saying that, but you never even try to back it up.

People do contradict. When they contradict themselves, it necessarily means they are wrong about one thing or another that they're saying, possibly everything they're saying. If they're contradicting themselves, the one thing they can't be is entirely right.

Who is denying you what you want? How are they denying it to you?

If someone tried to knock me down, or any of my loved ones, for any reason at all but especially if they judged us to be in their way, they would have to consider doing it from a seated position in the gutter and wearing an expression of deep and pained surprise. That's not an idle boast either, as I've done exactly that in the past and have no compunctions about doing it again.
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'

Yes, and 'the man' is exercising that action when they do what they want to you...

And as such, I don't wish harm to happen to myself, so I don't go knocking people down who are "in my way", that's how easy it is to reach an (implicit) mutual agreement, because of fear of reprisal; but most importantly because I have compassion and empathy and have learned this, but that's another matter.

So what if you want to hurt others by raping/killing/stealing/fucking them over?

Would we be "empathetic" in allowing you to do those things?

What if I am "in your way" merely by chance? Is it empathetic, or even civil of you to knock me down because, through no fault of my own, I am standing in the way of something you want?

You have to be the single most selfish person I have ever encountered.

And by the way, how many fucking threads are you going to start to address this issue of relative morals?? If you have something to say on the subject, just fucking say it. We don't need your "schooling" in morals by extreme theoretical example.
