why does the media try and push morality onto its viewers? is this ethical?
it seems that perhaps due to liberal Californians, much global media tries to push this Eastern-derived spiritualist base onto the masses.
I watch The Doctors TV show from time to time, and frankly I get offended and switch off. It seems they are preaching what is "right and wrong" too much, when really doctors' role is just to cure the sick and heal the injured. it's never been their duty to "tell" people how to behave.
What is the need for these Eastern-derived beliefs anyhow? I think most of them were devised by philosophers in ancient China or wherever to justify the oppressive status quo. imagine this:
"The Emperor is oppressing us!! that evil man!!!"
"but the wise man says it's our karma, so we must accept it."
"fair enough, who am I to question the cosmos."
