Christians: What kind of heaven do you believe in?

Or will you ignore their screams of agony and turn away.

And will you happy to share heaven with all the rapists, paedophiles and murderers who got in by asking for gods forgivness at the last moment?

For one, there won't be any in Hell that don't want to be there.

As for the [vermin] who ask forgiveness? I'll leave that to them & God.

If we are to believe that God is a Loving, forgiving and merciful father? There is only Joy and Happiness to look forward to.

What puzzles me is that atheists can feel; "love" and "happiness", yet they don't ask where it comes from? They can sit and ponder a physical mystery; yet God is not in that realm of thought. They also can take any, and all aspects of religion that is good and toss it out the window. But then expand and inflate any bad they can find in it to mountainous proportions.

Is it possible "love" & "happiness" is from a soul? Is it possible to just ponder God for a while in a quiet moment...and maybe get an answer? Is it possible that religion has done more good than bad over the millenniums for the multitude?

Is it possible that we don't know more than God?

I have a good (law enforcement) friend "Dennis" who has cheated death several times and always says: "No ones ever come back to complain." and "We'll be dead a lot longer than we will be alive!"

Dennis was always an agnostic, but is leaning religious these days. Not because he had some revelation, or spiritual rebirth. But he has been on deaths door 3 times and survived. He's just not afraid anymore.

When asked how he's alive by fellow officers Denny just says: "Somebody up there likes me!"

And there my friends is the answer: Somebody up there LOVES US!

There is no reason for anything to get in our way. Even death.

Or is it the heaven where only those who believe in the Christian God go to and everyone else, no matter how kind and caring, go to hell?

And why?

Dear CleanShavenJesus,
heaven is attainable to all, regardless of faith, provided that one has not died willfully rejecting Christ. If someone does not know Christ, through no fault of their own, then they may enter heaven. However, if someone has truly rejected Him without repentance, then Heaven is unattainable.
You may think "what's the point of believing then? If I'm a good enough person I'll make it." If, as an atheist, you hate God by your rejection of Him at the time of your death, then you will not get to heaven.
As a baptised Catholic, I am not guaranteed to attain heaven either.
I must continually pray and seek forgiveness for my sins.
This is a simplification of the Church's teaching. There's so much more to talk about but I don't want to annoy anyone.
I respect the fact that I am on an atheist forum which is for you guys to talk to each and I don't mean to antagonise anyone.
God Bless,
Palko.

No atheist hates you god, because its impossible to hate something that has no evidence of its existence.

And yet again you segue out of the question.

Trying to debate with you is a complete waste of time.

Hell, it's 'possible' that love and happiness are from venus. Hate and war might be from mars. But what is the point in saying so? Does it make it any less mysterious that such things should exist at all? Likewise, saying love comes from a soul just partitions off one portion of ourselves and says all the mystery is in there, the part I'm calling my soul. What information do we have about the mystery by virtue of giving it a name? Well I suppose there is an entire library of speculation on that thing Christianity calls a soul. So I suppose one could think there really is something known about all this but I think that is just trading self honesty for peace of mind. My 2 cents worth, with tax and handling that comes to $150 American.

You asked me a question about my "feelings". What do you expect?

If the debate is what I think of innocents going to hell, while the guilty go to heaven?

IMPOSSIBLE!

If it did? I will be just as outraged as you...and curse my God for letting the innocent go to hell..... But, as a true believer in Christ and the Father's Love for all? It won't happen that way! It just won't.

"trading self honesty for peace of mind"? Isn't that some kind of oxymoron?

With honesty, comes peace of mind. How can anyone find peace without truth? Or vise versa.

Everything we do is based on "LOVE". Everything. Now don't split hairs on me! Ultimately we do everything we do, for "good" reason. And it all boils down to a desire for some kind of love. Ok, you have your deranged citizens.... but the sane ones are living to love; every-thing, and one another.

WHY? Because of the planets? Also, its fine to have mystery about the universe, but frown on the mystery of God? Whats in a "name" of itself? Other than Jesus, nothing!

And really.... what is "love"? And what would we want our God to be if we pondered God at all?

Jesus said: "Seek and you shall find, ask and it will be opened to you." The problem is...no one asks.

We expect Him to just know our minds, and serve us. Because its all His fault for the bad things that happen to us and the world. The truth is? It "ALL" could be fixed!

All we need pray is something (from the heart) like this: "Lord, please take all the crap out of my life, and give me the strength, peace and wisdom to carry out your will, whatever it is, everyday of my life. Through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen!"

No mystery here. And much more than [peace of mind, or self honesty].

He is the only way to the; Honest Truth, Real Peace, Understanding and Wisdom.

Why would I hate something I don't believe even exists?

I'm not a Christian but I envision Heaven to be a utopic social existence.
