There was a movie called "The Gathering" in which there were witnesses to the crucifixion that stopped to watch out of morbid curiosity, and they were then cursed to live for an eternity having to witness murders and catastrophes.

Quote: So if you set your time machine for 33 CE you'll have missed the crucifixion.

The timing is very tricky for the jesus freaks. Their so-called "gospels" ( and I think "gospel" is derived from the Greek word for "horseshit") indicate that ole jesus did not begin his "ministry" until John the Baptist was killed. Josephus, however, places the death of JtheB c 34/35 AD although that is the least of the historical problems with this little piece of bullshit. This is what happens when later writers try (poorly) to integrate a new character into history.

Actually the "Jews" who witnessed and converted were no longer referred to as Jews. They were labeled Christian, as per the examples of all of His followers. Only those who remained in their 'faith' were still known as Jews.

So, Drippy. You seem to be the big expert. What do you say is the date of this alleged crucifixion?

I need a little more detail doofus.

The first Easter according to whom?

The Jews record it as 15 Nisan, and from there you can plug that into a conversion calculator and come up with a date that correlates to the gregorian calander. Is that what your looking for?

Because he was talking about Jews that witnessed and didn't believe. They are still called Jews. But you took it as if he was talking about Jews that witnessed and did believe, hence your response:

Quote:Actually the "Jews" who witnessed and converted were no longer referred to as Jews.

...hence the strawman.
