Mrs Smith goes to Texas!

Mrs Smith goes to Texas!
GO WENDY DAVIS, MRS SMITH GOES TO TEXAS AND KICKS REPUBLICAN ASS! She managed to filibuster up to the last 15 minutes a sweeping anti abortion bill, but with the help of the flooded gallery and halls of the state capital, the last 15 minutes were drowned out by the public and the bill died!

Was that the bill limiting abortion to 20 weeks of pregnancy?

That was part of it, but what does that have to do with anything? If you don't have a vagina, and you are not going to support the kid after they are born, then it is none of your business, and should be between the woman and their doctor.

Pro birth does not mean pro quality of life after birth.

Ignoring anything else the bill would do, focusing just on the 20 week bit:
IIRC the earliest kid to survive (so far) is 21 weeks.

And no, pro-choice does not extend for everybody up until the woman is in bloody labour. Viability cut off (after 5 months) seems like more than enough time. Its not murder to when it's a blob of cells, but at some point it does become murder. Few people would want abortions available the day before the baby is due. If someone is trying to do THAT, you'd not make it your business?

This is falsely assuming all babies are in good health AND wanted by the mother. Pregnancy like I said is none of your business if you don't have a vagina.

Simply being pro birth is bullshit, quality of life matters as well.

I agree. I think all these idiots wanting to ban any and all abortion outright should have to take care of the children after their born, pay for the mental counseling of mothers forced to give birth to rape children, and have to provide for families whose mothers died from pregnancy complications where terminating the pregnancies would have saved their lives. But no, they cut social programs, and give a big middle finger to everyone else.

Once again, law should be compassionate not judgmental, to put the baby above the mother is stupid, birth is much more complex than the simplistic laws dipshits want to make when they are not even doctors.

Complications and defects and danger to the mother can happen even after 5 months., not to mention rape and incest. And why the fuck do you think you have the right to force someone to do something with their body they don't want to do?

You want to call it murder? What then? Death row for a 15 year old girl who made a mistake? Death row for a rape victim?

Mind your own fucking business. If abortion gets outlawed, even after 5 months, you are going to be putting lives in danger and those laws can kill girls and women. Dont play doctor with lives and don't play morality police with laws.

Well, how come the second that baby comes out of the woman's vagina it suddenly is our business whether she can or can't end that kids' life?
