I still get creeped out a little bit by movies like Paranormal Activity tbh

Hahaha. Paranormal Activity movies are too tame.

What's the scariest movie you've ever seen?

I know it wasn't for me... but oh well Tongue

Nightmare on Elm Street was the scariest movie I ever saw.... way back, when I was 8 years old.
Spent a bit more than a year holding on tight to my sheets every night...
But, once my brain clicked into place, properly separating fact from fiction.... no movie could ever again scare me.
Sure, jump scares work, but they get forgotten a second later. Sad

Scary movies don't work for me... there's always some sort of stupidity at work in those characters...

If we're talking supernatural horror movies (or similar), the "scariest" movie that I can remember watching is probably Babadook. Or maybe the classic Evil Dead now that I remember that as well. But I've never found a supernatural horror movie that scared me beyond my wits. For me, the experience of watching such movies has never been too different from watching (for example) the Mummy movies.

But I can get quite disturbed after watching some exploitative movie, and even after going through heaps of them over the years, I still get affected. I'm like a victim of abuse who keeps battered by the abuser and keeps going back to them, lol.

Some of the most disturbing movies I've watched (thanks to recommendations from lists online):

Three movies by Marian Dora, including the infamous Engel der Melancholie.
The August Underground Trilogy
Human Centipede II (haven't seen III yet)
Guinea Pig movie series
Men Behind the Sun

and some others I can't remember now

I do not know what it was, but those Paranormal Activity movies actually scared me. I doubt I ever even finished watching the third movie because it was becoming too much for me to handle. xD

A Nightmare On Elm Street 4

Unless you count Michael Moore's "Trumpland" where he just stands up on stage for an hour babbling away.

Been meaning to watch that... but the trailer looks too much like a remake of X-Men.
