That's 'Doolittle', not 'Dolittle'.

'Jingle Jangle' (2020). A surprisingly enjoyable Christmas musical about a magical toymaker - Jeronicus Jangle - who has fallen on hard times after the death of his wife and estrangement from his daughter.

Forest Whitaker gives a sweetly funny performance as Jeronicus and has a surprisingly pleasant singing voice (which I did not know). Keegan-Michael Key is sufficiently nasty as the villain of the piece, goaded on by Ricky Martin voicing a sentient narcissistic matador doll. 7/10.

With a title like that, they should have made it a horror movie.

That's a fair point. Since they didn't, we've got a Christmas movie that's a cut above the usual dreck for this time of year.

What, Hallmark holiday movies don't appeal to you?

They hold precisely the same level of appeal as masturbating with a cheese grater.

The best Christmas movies are 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas' (original animated version - Jim Carrey ruined the live action version), 'A Charlie Brown Christmas', and the claymation 'Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer'.

I tend to prefer horror-related Christmas movies.

Remember the Silent Night, Deadly Night series?

I don't watch horror movies. Dark, suspenseful movies - yes. Horror - nope.

Oh, so you're more of a It's a Wonderful Life type. Got it.
