I've seen both Poc. Lots of 'shocker' gore and sex stuff, not really any compelling story or meaning to either, though 120 Days of Sodom is supposedly a commentary on the awfulness of Fascist Italy (the four "protagonists" are self-labled Fascists in the film for Christ's sake), but it's nearly impossible to take seriously.
Cannibal Holocaust got in some trouble because it was said that in the film they actually used real animals in some of the animal sacrifice/hunting scenes, though I can't recall how that ended.

Interesting.... I had just heard it was gory gore and more gore.
Animal sacrifice in a movie can't be done with real animals... it says so right there "no animals were harm in the production of this film"... usually they say that...

Actually, after a bit of digging it appears they really did use live animals in the sacrifice scenes. Even the director admits it.

RED 2.
I spent the best part of my life believing in an imaginary system which could absolve me from imaginary sin and not only that, by believing in the imaginary deity and taking up the imaginary offer of an imaginary eternal life I was offered the chance to live in an imaginary world up in the sky when I died. And what did I have to do to have all of this? Simple, I gave up using my real brain in my real life in this real world. F*cked up or what?

Watched "
Mary and Max" the other night. This is the second time I've seen this film and it was every bit as good the second time around.
Young Mary is a lonely girl living in Australia who strikes up a pen-pal friendship With 44-year old Max, who lives in New York.
This film flew way under the radar in 2009, but was one of the best made, most entertaining films of the year.

Don't worry, my friend. If this be the end, then so shall it be.
