Oh, that motherfucker. I want to shake that smile right off of his face.
What a fucking dickwad. She should sue him and the department both. Then the department would have to try and keep this shit from happening.
I noticed that the newsguy said that there was "no probable cause" to suspect she had anything in there. Kinda tells you all you need to know about this.

This is why I can't stand cops. They think they can do whatever the fuck they want and use this drug shit as carte blanche.

I'm actually a victim of a bad cop. Spent a night in jail because of him and his controlling and perverted ways. Justice came when he was fired and the town finally added cameras to the cop cars. Oh, and the smile from the judge when he told me he was dismissing the case. Seriously? Assault on a police officer? He was easily 300 LBs to my 120... stuck his hands down my pants (felt around down there a little while I was screaming and crying too) and everything. Cops scare me. Two more examples of out of control police and of a broken system. I don't know which of these is more disturbing.
This case is from Texas: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1x8uWxmpIAQ And this one from Las Vegas: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ytUl2Ie4E8Y In the Texas (victims: Ashley and Angel Dobbs) case, I believe the two troopers were fired and the female trooper charged with sexual assault. In the Vegas (victim: Monica Contreras) case, one of the marshals was fired and the Judge is "no longer employed" by the county. In both events civil rights cases are pending against the individuals and the respective city/county/police agency. These cases are far too common and the only solution is to sue the bastards for everything possible. It is not sufficient to get an "apology". rexbeccarox -- how long ago did this occur? I talked to an attorney, but only for a plea bargain because I was charged with assault on a cop, obstruction of justice, and harassment of a cop. Basically, my lawyer told me the judge's brother was a cop and he didn't take kindly to people assaulting them. My lawyer plead me down to just the obstruction charge, which would have gotten me a bunch of community service. Justice was done for the most part, IMO, although I learned a few years ago the charges were still on my record, so I had to fight to get them expunged. Oh and by the way... I was SO not guilty. The cop was just a big fat (literally) asshole. One of those who you know was bullied in high school or something. 
I used to work with cops. Their general attitude is "I know you didn't so anything wrong but we like to keep everyone feeling guilty anyway." And the supervisors had this attitude of suspicion toward their coworkers, except the female ones they were fucking. And don't get me started about how many calls I got from collection agencies wanting to speak to some of my cop coworkers. I personally knew one who wrote hot checks all over town.

We should really expand IA. Power needs to be kept in check and right now we have a system that is completely out of control.
