I voted other, just because of the fact that each FF was alright for the time it was made in. As such, comparing FF1 to FF13 is ludicrous.

I cannot believe FF8 is leading in the poll - that game was uuuggh, I got to the last boss at level 37 or some shit and didn't even bother beating it.

I've never been a huge fan of FF, so I've only played I,VII, and a tiny bit of VIII(quit cause I hated it).
I had to go with I for nostalgia's sake.

VIII was so disappointing to me. Pretty much every player character was really unlikeable and I just could not make myself give a shit about them or their problems.
If the game had been about Laguna, who was a cool guy, and his adventure, which was actually compelling and yet relegated to intermittent backstory status, I would have a very different opinion of it.
