In my demographic, and I believe that to be the demographic of reason & not lack of choice, your argument is actually popular. I did not imply majority ("Shared by many"), you did :"shared by most". So it was you that added the "stupid" statement.

There can be a psychological analysis for God does not imply merit. Were it able to successfully challenge the logic it would be true. I know of no such successful challenge.
