Attn: Theists - What would it take to prove you wrong?

You wouldn't be promoting the deadliest of the seven sins as a good thing, would you? Is that the Catholic attitude you want us to see?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'

No, but if you're going to sin, do it right. I was just goofing around, but I am completely unconcerned with what you see. Since I don't have your eyes, it does me no good.
Hi Max, I have yet to run across your posts in this forum before. Admittedly when I learned you were Catholic I was going to post a derogatory meme so you see what I see in you. Then I realized, I don't know you. Did you have an introductory thread? What are the core of your beliefs--are they in line with Catholic Doctrine?
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite. Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment. Quote:Some people deserve hell. I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.
It's always nice to meet an open bigot.

Well, hey. Maybe he doesn't believe the shit part of his religion and is unorthodox in his beliefs. I'm not a bigot for having a predisposition against bigotry doctrine, and just because you've cherrypicked everything out of the Bible that makes you feel guilty as void, that doesn't make you any less of a bigot. You still believe I'm going to hell so that you can go to heaven, and wouldn't bat an eye if I was destitute on the side of the road with a sign that says god bless. The value and quality of my life is nill to you and yet you call me the bigot.

Hi nice guy why do you feel its justified for a majority of humans to go to hell so that you and your brethren can go to heaven and be 'rewarded'? There are no winners without losers, after all. How can you justify an eternal punishment for a finite crime and why does it make sense to you that you were born into an inherited crime? that's like waking up and owing a mortgage on a house you don't even own!

Congratufuckinglations. I'm glad you don't believe in hell. Really. I am. Now extend your disbelief beyond your comfort zone of belief, and discard the rest of the ridiculous ideas that you see fit to cling to.
