The alternative you're suggesting is that the "universe exists just because it exists" which is like saying "there is no reason at all for anything to exist" but you may as well say "there is no reason for objects to fall to the ground" or "there is no reason for lightning to be created" or "there is no reason why birds can fly in the air". How much science would get done if we all thought like you but didn't apply the double standard as you're applying? "There is a reason for those things but there isn't a reason for all things" is a double standard. There is a reason for those things AND a reason for all things and the reason for all things is God.
