Reading the Bible made me an Atheist
|
Having never been a theist I can't really relate. I never saw the Bible as anything more than the equivalent to ancient Greek myths. That being said, this is not the first time I've heard this story from someone. I think it's interesting how the very book that's supposed to give you your "revealed truth" turns people away from their religion.

When I was younger the people I was around kept telling me there is a God and I believed it up until maybe I was in High School and I became skeptical so I read the bible for the first time and I was shocked of what I found.
Cholley, stop self promoting on this forum, you have to establish yourself as a member before self-promoting.
In other words, at least 30 posts (with decent content) in 30 days.
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura
