Never wondered about any such thing. In fact I am not aware of any "atheist stereotype". I am an individual who happens to be an atheist and I couldnt give less of a damn about what some arrogant sod on the internet thinks of me.
Did you just stereotype someone for wondering over stereotype? Oh the delicious irony.

Do you always think of yourself as a figure of moral authority and constantly stick your finger under peoples noses reminding them of how "bad" they are in your worthless opinion?
If yes: I hate you, and once I have built my Reich, your kind will be punished.

No. It is used to make fun over morons who put themselves in high risk to prove what essentialy is nothing.

Threads like these show the extreme stupidity behind rellying on nothing but worthless hope, when taking action would have certainly been the better option.

You're pretty thick, aren't you. (Typical of the breed.)
Since obviously the point was lost on you I'll spell it out. I apologize if I use any big words that you can't understand.

I sincerely doubt that they are any smarter now that they are back where they started from. Child Protection should take those kids away from these two morons.

I have a pretty good idea why we're stereotyped.
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

I'm guessing that the population of Kiribati breathed a collective sigh of relief that a fundamentalist Christian family won't be coming to their island.
Seriously, they live in a country which is 80% Christian, Christianity is ingrained into just about every aspect of society, there are mentions of God on our currency, and just about every single elected official is Christian, and this country isn't Christian enough for them? And they expected to find far more religious freedom in Kiribati?

We already know why atheists are stereotyped: short sighted fools with an agenda need to make someone the enemy, after all.

Can you point to any one of us that was like "oh dang, I wish they had died!" What kind of dark world do you live in where the desire that human beings not kill themselves needs to be pointed out to you at every opportunity? For most of us, that shit's just implicit.

Or, or, now follow me on this one, we're laughing at the idiocy of the two people who willfully endangered not only their own lives, but the lives of their children, executing on a belief of persecution that isn't even factual, costing some amount of money and time that rescue crews could have used doing something useful.
And you're expecting some kind of sympathetic ear. Why? These people are idiots, and their actions could have hurt children. What other response would you like us to give?
Sorry, we're too busy to fellate these ignoramuses for their brilliant show of faith. You go right ahead, though.

They wouldn't accept fellatio anyway, on account of their outdated beliefs.

Yes, that's the thing which makes this whole story sad & funny at the same time: These people thought they needed to leave a country because they were being persecuted for religious reasons. When this supposed persecution consisted of not allowing them to force their religious beliefs upon everyone else.
I say Darwin was cheated again. These people are really too stupid to live.
