RE: "IF" there was a God....
Yeah I don't know how I or anyone else can be angry at someone's imaginary friend

Shhhh... don't tell them that.

You'll ruin one of the cornerstones of their "belief" about atheism.

I guess I would have only one question:

"What the fuck?!"

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up.
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

If there was a god I don't think I'd care much. Given that if it's there it doesn't appear to actually do anything, ever... Well. I don't remember where that sentence was going. MAYBE GOD IS REAL AND STEALING MY THOUGHTS?!?!?!?

If you strip the Christianity lens off God, we're talking about, what, the God of deism? If I could only ask one thing, I'd ask for its origin story I suppose. Without the baggage of the big book of God did this, said that, and wants those; it's hard to get riled up at a non-intervening creator without more details.

Frankly, the point of this thread if we're talking about a generic God escapes me.

If I was miraculously granted an audience with a being that called itself God, I would ask it the one question that would determine whether the being was worthy of worship.

Are you as deliciously evil as the bible portrays you to be?

Honestly I really only know of one question. Why the secrecy and mind games? Can you just be plain and involved?

The main question from me...

What does God need with a starship?

Not that I am God, but I have answered all of these (more or less) before.

No one is 'born into' Christianity. we choose it or choose to ignore it.

Quote:2) Why are you allowing the torture of millions of people in hell
They chose to be free in Hell rather than serve in Heaven.

Quote:3) Why did you put the tree in the middle of the garden
Choice. To Give Man an opportunity to choose something other than the expressed Will of God.

Quote:4) What's up with the design of our windpipe? I constantly choke on food - not cool
I had this problem too. try to not inhale or even make the effort to hold your breath while you swallow.

Quote:5) Why destroy the entire world (and loads of cities) every time you get pissed
Cities represent the pride and wealth of man. Man's 'pride' is often the source of "God getting pissed."

Quote:6) What's up with the blood offerig thing. Why can't you forgive?
"Blood offering thing, is just a representation of the Spiritual cost of forgiveness. Christ died the way He did physically, so you can have some understanding of what it cost God to 'just forgive you.'

Quote:7) Are you gay (that one might be a bit rude, but I would like it if someone else asked as I'm interested in the answer)
no.

Asking what I would ask a god without giving any qualifiers is like asking "what would you ask a person?" I can't answer that without anymore information.

If you're not god, aren't your answers irrelevant, seeing as how the are questions to god, not Drich?
